FIXMYSTREET IN TR17 0AF
The following problems have been reported on Fix My Street within 2 miles of TR17 0AF:
Parallel cuts in concrete road surface, 8th May
There have been roadworks there for months. They have put saw cuts in the surface of the concrete road surface. These are extremely dangerous for motor cyclists, particularly when wet. The cuts tend to pull the motor bike from side to side, even at very low speeds. I was driving a light weight 125cc Honda along the road and had to slow to less than 20mph. It is noted that 50 mph signs are left AFTER the work seems to be finished. But I really believe the road now needs closing and the ruined concrete simply ripped and replaced. The work and inconvenience has been a total waste of money. I predict DEATHS will be caused, particularly for motor cyclists, although I also observe small cars are having the same problem - CLOSE the road NOW and SAVE a Life.

Polluted air, 7th May
The Crab factory has had a nasty smell coming from it for a week. We regularly have smells in the air throughout the year based on wind direction. The smell is away worst moving into spring and summer every year every since it was built. It is not pleasant for residents and there must be issues with there filters system as I expect the council/ environmental health would not allow foul waste smells as the norm. Can this please be looked at and monitored and the company do something to prevent this happening

Narrowing of footpath, 15th February
The main footpath is narrowing due to grass each side encroaching over the tarmac. If someone walks towards you, one of you has to walk on the grass. Current roadworks where the pathway was dug up clearly shows the pathway is around 2 foot wider than what it currently is, see photo.
