Continual flow of water from manholes in road, 16th February
For months water has flowed from manholes in road resulting in debris over the road. Both water companies have attended, as well as the gas company and despite repairing the surface of the road the leak continues, the surface of the road in consequence of this botched repair has subsequently sunk. This problem has existed for months and has been made worse as a result of blocked drains in the immediate area. This problem exists at a location where the one way system joins between Dale Hill and Berners Hill.

Rubbish dumped on bank of stream, 15th December
The council have just last week cleared the stream that runs behind acres rise / Springfields / the Warren and by the field rise estate. They did a shocking job, removing all the vegetation and destroying any privacy that the homes in Springfields had, but that’s beside the point. The issue is that it’s only been a week since it was cleared and some shitpiece has already started dumping rubbish on their old spot again. And now I have to look at it thanks to the destruction.

Poor workmanship, 22nd November
During recent work to install fibre optics the pavement was reinstated with poor workmanship by the private company. What was a nice smooth walkway is now not smooth, looks bad and is already deteriorating. The council will end up spending money on other peoples work. Please get the company to redo this path so it wont cause a trip when it starts breaking up. Sorry no photo but battery was out when I was there.

Concrete and metal exposed in carriageway, 22nd November
Heading from Ticehurst down Rosemary Lane, just beyond the turning on the left to 'Downash Farm' there is dip in the tarmac within the carriageway next to the telegraph pole on left. Within the mud on the edge of the carriage way is an exposed concrete housing with sharp metal frame edge within which is not clearly marked when driving. As a country lane you are focusing on oncoming traffic, thankfully I was travelling less that 20mph as my car bounced up as it hit the concrete, the impact slashing my tyre and scuffing the alloy

Speed limit, 9th June
Rosemary Lane is a single track road with passing places and yet the speed limit is set at the National Speed limit. Rosemary Lane is a residential road that is used by walkers, runners, dog walkers cyclist and horses. The adjacent B2087 is set at 30 mph and 40mph in places so the Lane is used as a rat run for motorists to avoid the traffic lights on the A21. There is also an elderly persons settlement, I have had to jump into a hedge many times to avoid been hit by a speeding vehicle. There is going to be a fatal accident here one day!
