Debris and potholes, 28th April
Following the removal of trees the kerb at the end of Rushford Close is completely covered in debris. The yellow parking restriction line is not visible and the drain is blocked which causes flooding in times of heavy rain.. The road is possibly the most uneven in Kent and is full of potholes. Please give this matter you attention.

Broken kissing gate repaired badly now broken, 26th April
There is a kissing gate here which was badly repaired by the farmer or one of his employees recently. The gate clangs every time someone the gate mechanism closes. It was ok for about 3 weeks but now it’s just as noisy and annoying as it was before. The farmer has to either repair this gate properly or replace it.

This was ‘repaired’ 2 weeks ago. Are you kidding?, 13th April
The road was closed and the road was supposed to be resurfaced. I can’t believe the council think this is acceptable. Are you trying to make Hop Pocket Way look like a bomb site? A couple of months ago our street was a nice leafy place to live. Now with all this appalling bad (probably cheap) ‘workmanship’ going on adjacent to Hop Pocket Way, this has become an eyesore. Thank you KCC.

Left in appalling state by council and their contractors, 13th April
The pavement was built 2 months ago. Why has it been left in this dangerous state for so long? Also the contractor has destroyed a line of trees planted parallel to the road by the developer of the adjacent houses (Countryside). This needs ti be rectified as a matter of urgency.

Disintegrating surrounds for new manholes, 13th April
A new line of sewage/water supply pipes and manholes were installed about 2 to 3 months ago in Hop Pocket Way (TN27 9AF). These are all falling apart and the road is covered in stones. This needs to be finished asap ie I assume tarmac needs to be PROPERLY laid around the manhole covers and compacted correctly.

Unfinished works, 24th March
This pavement was started around the start of February. It has seemingly been abandoned with no further work taking place and all amenities for workers has been removed.
The pavement sits proud (by about 1-2 inches) of the pavement and represents a significant trip hazard along its length.
There is an unfinished section along the pavement that is open to the public who could easily walk down this on a dark night (there are no street lights)
There is a significant height difference at the 'end' of the pavement and curb which has been hit by cars already (as seen by the scuff marks on top of the curb)
I have tried to call highways to explain I believe this to be an emergency as injury could occur here and no one has attended. I have also been told that the works are "nothing to do with us" and was forwarded to KCC who have explained they are not responsible for the works. I spoke to Michelle Snoding at KCC who confirms this is not works that she is aware of.

Noisy manhole cover, 3rd September
A BT manhole cover is making a loud clattering every time a vehicle drives over it. It has been checked before and the dirt cleaned out by an engineer. The 2 covers need to be welded together or another solution found as it has become unbearable with the noise all day and night.
