Car tyre fly-tipped, 17th June
There's a car tyre dumped beside the road just past the cottage garden (between Little Southenay and Southenay Farm). It's beginning to quickly get grown in with grass because of the time of year, but was still there yesterday, so please ask whoever goes for it to check carefully - it may not be too obvious from a moving vehicle.

Verge completely ruined exposing the edge of the road along Scots Lane, East Brabourne, by residential property The Downs., 1st January
Verge completely ruined exposing the edge of the road. Complete mess made of verge by refuse collection lorry that reversed a bit, then purposefully churned up the verge to allow passing vehicles rather than reverse/drive forward sensibly to a wider part of the road (field entrances available either side of affected verge). With subsequent instances of this ‘new widened road’ being used this has now exposed the edge of the road resulting in decay, and widened ‘mudbath’ road now encroaching on residential property. The initial issue occurred two weeks ago, with subsequent refuse collection and other vehicles having since utilised the additional bit of road gained and taking further chunks out of the grass verge. It is understood that the affected verge is on a narrow country lane, and the verge often gets muddy in the winter, but this is the first year the verge has been properly eroded exposing the edge of the road by an additional 6 inches, Andy the worry is with the edge of the road now exposed it will continue to wear away, and if any closer to residential wall could result in the residential wall falling into the road.

This is a very deep pothole on the nearside of the road just after the bend when heading in the direction of Swan Lane. Has been developing for a number of months. I think most local people will be aware but an unwary driver could damage their vehicle if they drive into it.
