Verge completely ruined exposing the edge of the road along Scots Lane, East Brabourne, by residential property The Downs., 1st January
Verge completely ruined exposing the edge of the road. Complete mess made of verge by refuse collection lorry that reversed a bit, then purposefully churned up the verge to allow passing vehicles rather than reverse/drive forward sensibly to a wider part of the road (field entrances available either side of affected verge). With subsequent instances of this ‘new widened road’ being used this has now exposed the edge of the road resulting in decay, and widened ‘mudbath’ road now encroaching on residential property. The initial issue occurred two weeks ago, with subsequent refuse collection and other vehicles having since utilised the additional bit of road gained and taking further chunks out of the grass verge. It is understood that the affected verge is on a narrow country lane, and the verge often gets muddy in the winter, but this is the first year the verge has been properly eroded exposing the edge of the road by an additional 6 inches, Andy the worry is with the edge of the road now exposed it will continue to wear away, and if any closer to residential wall could result in the residential wall falling into the road.

Grit bins were provided all over the district last year including one to the North of Kingsmill Down Farm ., 18th November
I don't know why grit bins were not put on to the steep hill from near Missingham Farm to the triangulation point at the top of the Brabourne Downs. It really needs two bins as there is a bend in the hill where vehicles lose any momentum they have .It probably needs one near the gateway to the North Downs Way, eastward & another near the triangulation point

Pothole driving towards Weekes Lane / down the hill, 30th September
Massive pothole that has been reported by myself before and has had work men fix other ones surrounding but this has now drown and comes across to the middle of the road. There are work men on the next road up today and last week and have still missed it!
