These potholes have been getting worse and worse. On my last visit there was no way around them on my bike. As they are at the bottom of a hill it's incredibly dangerous for bicycles.

Regardless if its a lot of rain or a little bit of rain, this area floods bot carriageways constantly.
This may lead to an aquaplaning risk for all vehicles including the school coaches

Ongoing - Degredation of road, 5th January
The several previously repaired potholes have rapidly (less than 24hrs) degraded to a large rut in the road surface which may lead to severe damage to vehicles includein the several school coaches and min-busses

There is a deep pothole on the nearside of the road east bound on the a272 shortly before the turning right towards shortbridge, 24th December
I was expecting to find damage to my nearside front wheel after driving into this pothole (at night). It's dangerous and could cause damage to a car wheel/suspension and I imagine could cause a motorcyclist to have an accident.

Area of Road completely broken up - multiple potholes. Keeps being report for over a year and nothing gets done now., 21st December
Get this fixed please!!! It makes getting in an out of a remote community with vehicle damage near impossible everyone has been reporting this for over a year now and it is disgusting that STILL nothing has been done!!! People are talking about matching on Wealden Highways over this! The roads are a disgrace!!

30 foot pothole on Ruston bridge road, 8th August
There's a series of potholes across the entire width of the carriageway for approximately 30 ft. It has been here for several years with what appears to be several patchwork repairs, but these have all eroded away. It is clear that the underlying defect in the road has not been repaired and it represents a major hazard to cyclists and cars alike.

Long bit of road still dangerouse - ESC website wont take the report as it deems it a major issue, 16th May
Near the national limit sign. A long bit of road needs work. Looking at the Fix-My-Street website, this has been reported multiple time since March and is still not sorted. I remember that a Sussex councilor on BBC Sussex said that it should take no longed than 28days to fix. Unfortunately the council has failed in this regard and is very disappointing. Also due to the nature of this defect, lives are now at serious risk, including school children as the school coach uses this road.

Numerous craters too deep to drive through across the width of the road, 19th April
These potholes have been reported numerous times, they are now dangerous, they are across the entire width of the road, there is no avoiding them, there will be a nasty accident by someone who doesn't know they are there . On the hill by Denniker farm. To my knowledge they have been there since December maybe longer.

Trench across width of carriageway, 19th April
A trench is eroding across the entire width of carriageway. No safe passing place for single let alone double vehicles. Head on collision is highly likely due to loss of control due to condition of road. East Sussex Highways have been aware of poor road condition along this stretch for many months.

Severeal yards of dangerouse road surface, 21st March
Reported several times. A lenght of road, around the natinoal limit speed sign on the left hand side leaving Fletching is so poor vehicles including the school coach have to drive on the oncomming traffic lane.
