There are a number of deep potholes, around 15 from the spot marked and down towards Crowborough.
They have been here for at least a year and have gotten worse. They're mostly all unavoidable and in the tyre line. They all need urgent repair.

Dangerous potholes, 27th March
There are a couple of bad potholes going towards Uckfield soon after the junction with the A272. They cause cars to swerve over the double white lines. Hardly safe, and illegal, but there is no choice.

The length of most of this section is in horrendous condition , potholes surface breakup , I now choose to drive a longer route to avoid driving over this assault course as I can't afford to sustain more vehicle damage. Truly appalling state.

Massive elongated, deep and wide pothole, 11th March
The pothole and surrounding areas are hazardous to vehicles exiting the roundabout or leaving the junction. The position of the hazard is unavoidable on the left-hand side on the way to Uckfield North. The opposite carriageway is on a blind bend.
