Drain cover collapsed, 16th October
16/10/2023 @ 08h00 I drove down the A53 in the direction of Newcastle Under Lyme and hit a loose drain cover.
Upon my return, approx 09h15, there was further damage i.e. it looked like the tar around the manhole cover was sinking.

Low/Narrow Clearance causing bus accidents, 11th October
The road narrows here and drivers have reported that a pillar has been established hidden within overgrown trees and hedgerow. There have been 3 incidents of bus windows being smashed within the last 3 weeks when taking evasive measures towards cars travelling in the opposite direction.

There is so much mud on this road from the farmers., 25th March
This mud has been here for 1 and a half months. It has now become dangerous as the farmers keep adding to it when leaving the muddy field. I would love it if it could just be cleaned as it's a corner and feel like skidding on the stones and mud is dangerous. Many thanks if you can clean it.

Farmers left lots of rubble and stones., 18th January
This has been here for 1 week. Nothing done to clean the road l. I have reported it to the council and they said bring it to you.

There is a manhole or drain on this road and the vehicles going over it as damanging it as it is making a loud clanking noise which can be heard from our office, this is every few seonds and is getting louder., 12th February
There is something wrong with the manhole or drain cover on the main A53 between Mucclestone Wood Road and the turning for Wesleyan Road. Every time a vehicle goes over it it makes a very loud clanking noise, every couple of seconds.

Speeders 3 times the limit!, 13th March
Every day we take our lives into our hands by trying to pull out in a 30mph zone into traffic doing more than 60mph. There is a blind corner and traffic in both directions do not slow for the 30mph signs. This is ongoing and has been a major problem for over 3 years! The speed limit through loggerheads and near the roads to Ashley ARE 30MPH!

Cars parking on pavements leaking oils, 24th October
A few cars in this close are just parking on the curbs , plus are leaking engine oils and all kinds of fluids on the paths and road, hence kids and animals are getting covered in this muck and bringing it in to the homes as well as making them unwell, no-one seems to care about the muck in this close anymore, we never get road sweepers come up bcus of all there vans and vehicles parked all over the place...its about time someone stopped these people getting away with dumping there filthy vehicles anywhere they like without cleaning up any mess there vehicles are making....

Abandoned wreck, 23rd July
We still have an abandoned vehicle parked up, well dumped more like, blocking the close, causing problems for everyone, inclunding the wife who cant get her car in her driveway properly, also for other vehicles including binmen and deliveries, attracting local youths now who seem to be climbing allover it, punctured tyres, and blocking public pathway, registration is "Y91 EOL" if that helps council sort it out quicker,

Uninsured cars on pavements, 8th July
Having constant trouble with a car parking on the pavement and causing problems for my wife to park her car on the driveway, also blocking view of the road when pulling out of driveway and causes nuisance to other residents and children , having to walk on the road, it has no insurance yet is dumped allover the road, REG is Y91 EOL its a land rover type vehicle

Uninsured abandoned car, 15th April
There is an abandoned car parked outside our houses, a complete eyesore, and now is attracting local youths , who have already put a brick through the windscreen and have kicked the drivers door in, car REG is HK04 JWM , might belong to one of the neighbours who is happy to dump his cars allover the place,

Pothole crater appearing, 27th March
Couple of crater type potholes appearing outside driveway on the public highway,also the close itself and easy to trip or fallover as there is no street lighting, and high curbs ,and adults and children can lose footing quite easily in dark, has been made worse by road sweeper coming into the close and sucking up most of the loose tarmac, would be nice if highways agency or whoever in charge sort something out please...

Overgrown hedge, 10th April
We have an overgrown hedge, spilling out over the footpath , which makes people try avoid getting scratched, but in the dark as there is no street light, people are also falling or tripping over the kerbs, we also have trouble pulling out onto the road as we cannot see what or who is walking along this footpath....no one will ask the neighbour to maintain the hedge as they very aggressive...surely its upto someone to sort this hedge out

Problem parking, 22nd May
We have alot of residents dumping their vehicles on the grass verges in sovereign lane ,this is tearing the grass lawns up and landscape contractors cannot cut and maintain the grass due to residents parking on the grass verges every day and sometimes during the night

Sharp metal spike....., 19th January
Placed by a couple of trees is what looks like an old concrete boulder with a sharp metal spike sticking out of it, its on the grass verges just opposite the broom lea rd...now this has been here for a few weeks now, and children are running up and down this grassy part as they head to school, this spike is a accident waiting to happen
