The following problems have been reported on Fix My Street within 2 miles of SA44 5EE:
Pot holes and side of road eroding, 23rd February
Recent work at the lumber storage with large lorries hauling wood chip have created damage to the sides of the narrow road, along with worsening potholes and repairs while creating new ones, in places it seems dangerous to drive without getting stuck or damaged.

Unclassified road being abused, 26th January
This unclassified road has been used for antisocial behaviour by off roaders for years casuing damage, we have had threats of violence from most users when confronted, especially when in big groups comprising of 8 vehicles using it and blocking the road/driveway.
We have reported it to the police a few times and a large group have been warned vehicles can be seized if continued reports of antisocial behaviour come in.
Damage with the wet weather caused a temporary gate to be erected with signage stating the damage and safety problem, though this was vandalised and signage removed.
We have reported the issues to the council and have full backing from the locals to have the unclassified road that isn’t suitable for normal vehicle use to be turned into a restricted byway so the locals can again use it unhindered. Though the progress is slow.

Highway being obstructed, 10th December
Myself and multiple other users have recently had issues at this location. A man living in the house has often come out abusive and in an intimidating manner before with his dog once on a trip I did last year. A friend has gone to use it today and has found the byway/ucr obstructed in this manner. On a previous visit another friend was told to "just f**k off". Please can this be resolved.

Abandonded litter bin? Often overflowing, 29th February
The old County Council removed many public litter-bins in the mid-1970s, this one on the junction between the A484 and A486 seems forgotten. Rubbish is still dumped in and around the bin. As much of the rubbish is bagged, I suspect excess domestic rubbish is dumped here by people aware of this bins location. If this bin stays then it must be emptied more regularly, it seems to get emptied "randomly", maybe once a month. Maybe if the council cannot afford to empty it regularly it should be removed.

Speed humps - insufficiently tapered, 1st May
Speed humps were installed outside the school, near the start of April, within a couple of weeks the northbound road outside the school was resurfaced and incredibly the northbound speed humps re-made. These northbound humps have a different profile to the southbound humps in as much as the northbound rise out of the road faster (are less tapered). I am a law abiding citizen, and cross these humps at 20 mph (as required) but I fear the northbound humps are taking their toll on my suspension & shock absorbers.

Excess gravel after road resurfacing, 18th August
This section of road has been "top dressed" with tar & gravel. The road sweeper has been down the road since the road was re-surfaced, to take-up the loose gravel, BUT has missed the bell-mouth on the south-side of the junction, where the loose gravel is OVER an inch thick. The bell-mouth is on a slope and my wife slipped on the loose stones this morning, and an elderly resident slipped on the same spot this afternoon!

Black bag rubbish - 3 weeks old?, 6th August
There are 1 or 2 black bags of rubbish at the side of the road on the north side of the Y junction. There seems to be a concrete rubbish bin next to the spot, so perhaps that's full too? This stuff has stayed there thro 2 cycles of "black bag" collections by the local council.

South-bound digital/radar speed warning sign give false warnings, 9th July
This digital/radar speed warning sign turns RED at speeds above 30 mph, but A484 at this point is a 40 mph road. this cause drivers doing say 36 mph to brake suddenly and could cause an accident. Note: the north bound digital/radar speed warning sign is correct and warns motorists only at speeds above 40 mph. This fault has been present for about 3 weeks.
