The following problems have been reported on Fix My Street within 2 miles of SR8 1AU:
Uneven Surface on new repairs, 15th April
You are currently patching large areas of the southbound carriageway between the A181 and the A179 junctions - the repairs are very poor, they are bumpy and rippled especially going onto and off the large repair patches. This could be dangerous and as a minimum are going to cause further damage to the road coming off them due to vehicles 'bouncing' the patches are nowhere near as good as the rest of the road and require attention.

This does not relate to roadworks but could not find where to report it. The slip road junction off A19 at castle eden with mini roundabout at the top is an accident waiting to happen. Cars queue because they cant get out at the top of the slip on the roundabout, the queue goes all the way down the slip onto the A19, its so dangerous. The junction requires consideration for improvement works please., 7th June

Noise from A19, 19th December
The dead animals is wrong. I could not cancel it. I live adjacent to the A19. (Askerton Drive SR8 1PW)
My neighbour has just moved in and was told by her estate agent that a sound proof fence was to be erected here (between Old |Shotton and the A181) There is one North of Old Shotton.
Please tell me if this is true. You were responsible for culling Ash trees last year and your representative said there might be one. The noise has got worse because the trees have gone and there is now more traffic with new developments at |Nissan and access to the Tyne Tunnel being improved.
I wrote to you a fortnight ago. but have had no reply. Please tell me what the situation is.
David Taylor-Gooby P.S. You are difficult to communicate with!

Slip road coming off the A19 South bound onto the B1281, 16th March
Drivers are using this left lane slip road to cut the queues in the right lane by turning round on the mini round about. It would be beneficial if there were bollards in place to prevent drivers from doing this as it has caused accidents several times. The double round about system is also a concern and again, many accidents have occurred due to people pulling out onto oncoming traffic because of the long queues.
