Wed, 24 Jan 2024 15:02:37 +0000
53.302181 -1.93758

Large pothole approximately 600mm square and 300mm deep around surface water gully. It is a serious danger to walkers and cyclists, potentially causing injury. Vehicle wheels and suspension will be damaged if they are unable to manoeuvre out of the way on this narrow lane. The pothole has been here for at least 4 weeks. The gully is blocked by stones and roadside debris and does not empty. As a result, the pothole is invisible when filled with water.

Staying here for a week with my 4 year old son and the speed people travel along this road is insane. Supposed to be 40mph but people are using it as an open country road. It needs some traffic calming measures.

Unfinished double yellow lines, 9th June

Tue, 09 Jun 2020 08:01:28 +0100
53.315744 -1.916482

Newly painted double yellow lines are unfinished. On one side of the junction the double yellow lines are complete and are clearly the required 10 metres (32 feet) from the junction, however on the other side, the lines stop at the grid, a very long way off the required 10 metres (32 feet) required, where cars are not meant to park. It is clear where the yellow lines were meant to go up to, as it was marked out with white spray paint initially where the yellow lines should end, which has clearly been covered with black now to hide the mistake. The junction is difficult to exit due to the parked cars, and the yellow lines would've helped to enforce the solution, however the yellow lines fall short of the required 10 metre (32 feet) clearance required at a road junction. Please correct the mistake. I also note that a Derbyshire County Council vehicle regularly parks where the yellow lines should extend past on this junction, adding to the restricted view Problem.

Parked Cars Restrict Visibility from Junction, 7th January

Tue, 07 Jan 2020 10:29:44 +0000
53.315744 -1.916482

When at the Junction of Longmeade Drive and Long Lane, exiting on to Long Lane, it is extremely difficult when turning right to see any on-coming vehicles due to parked cars. This makes it almost impossible to avoid on-coming vehicles travelling down Long Lane towards Hollin Knowle. You can be the most cautious Cassandra, but you will still be surprised by any on-coming vehicle as you edge out of the junction.

Difficult junction due o parked cars, 7th January

Tue, 07 Jan 2020 10:25:03 +0000
53.316225 -1.917426

Due to parked cars on the opposite side of the road to the junction of Long Lane and Rosebay Gardens, it is difficult to turn out of, especially if there are on-coming vehicles travelling down Long Lane, in either direction. Due to the obstructions it sometimes causes those turning out of Rosebay Gardens (left turn in particular) to be facing on-coming vehicles, due to vehicles already travelling down Long Lane and passing the parked vehicles on their left to be part on the wrong side of the road. Visibility out of the junction when turning left is also not clear, and therefore makes this situation unavoidable at times.

Children Playing & Vehicle Speed, 7th January

Tue, 07 Jan 2020 10:17:14 +0000
53.315161 -1.917399

There are a lot of children that play out on the Rosebay development, and visiting vehicles (delivery drivers, contractors, visitors etc) drive far too fast on the development. It would be really useful to have clear signage on the lamp posts highlighting that children play in the area and to drive carefully, before there is an accident.

Dog fouling on Rosebay development, 7th January

Tue, 07 Jan 2020 10:13:32 +0000
53.31597 -1.917799

It has become a problem that dog walkers are leaving dog foul on the footpaths of the development, as they walk through the development to station road. There are several dog owners on the estate but it doesn't appear to be anyone on the estate that is causing this problem, but people who are walking through that do not live on the estate. There needs to be clear signage put up on the lamp posts, and at the entrance and exit footpaths (one at the end of The Rushes, and one off Rosebay Gardens on to Station Road) informing people that not picking up their dog foul is a criminal offence. Also, at the entrance/exit of the development directly on to Station Road there could be a waste bin for dog walkers to use that would probably help the situation.

Trouble causer, 19th December

Thu, 19 Dec 2019 09:57:19 +0000
53.314063 -1.916726

On the December 17 at 3:00 in the afternoon a man went to see one of his friends at Chapel en le Frith then delivered some Christmas cards to some other friends there then when he left to walk to the nearest bus pick up point a man driving a white van that belongs to a company called Joule Brady drove up the road fast then screeched to a halt just opposite him then the driver stared at him then drove up the road again very fast, turned round then screeched to a halt just at the side of him then picked his mobile phone up to report him when he has not done anything, it is the first time this man had been in Chapel en le Frith in 2 and a half weeks so there was no need for that, he should be using this van for work purposes and if he is using it to cause trouble for others instead of working with it then his boss should sack him and I strongly appeal to his boss to do so because what he is doing is rediculous This man is clearly jealous of the man, there is no need for anyone to go round causing trouble like this man does and something needs to be done about him because he is clearly a liability and a danger to the public
