Complete the Peak Forest Tramway Trail!, 18th May
It’s a crying shame the way the Peak Forest Tramway Trail peters out here. From being a wide and well-surfaced multi-user trail it descends into a rough, stoney, overgrown mess towards Charley Lane, and then a footpath only towards Hayfield Road. If the whole route of the old tramway were opened up with a suitable surface for cycling it’d provide an incredible asset as a route from the central High Peak out to Dove Holes, Peak Dale and Buxton, opening up new journeys by bike which are currently very challenging.

A6 Chapel Bypass consider shared use path for safe cycling, 18th May
Every so often I see the terrifying sight of someone cycling down the Chapel Bypass. It is completely unsuitable and unsafe for this. There are probably thousands of others, though, who would find it useful to be able to use this very direct and level route. Please look at the excellent work done alongside the A555 Manchester Airport Relief Road where a shared path has been provided for the whole length of the road and links into local cycling routes, even on the older existing stretch of road. It would be perfectly possible to provide something similar along the Chapel bypass, the space is there already most of the way and this would provide a safe, direct cycle route. At Chapel Milton the path could avoid the viaduct by travelling down the embankment to cross Hayfield Road, where a link into Chapel itself could be provided. There is no reason this much space needs to be given over to motor traffic alone.

Blocked storm drain discharging water to field and down road, 10th October
This storm drain grate (50m from the junction of Charley lane) has a blocked out flow so discharging the water collected from Buxton road out of it on to our field with lots running down the road and then onto our field. Lifting the inspection hatch down the road from it takes most of the water so it is not a pipe size issue but the blockage is too far up for the number of rods I have and dose not seem to shift from the grate end.

12" POTHOLE at END of BAGSHAWE AVENUE, 22nd February
The pothole is getting bigger and bigger. The trouble is that there are rather big "pebbles" which can be caught by car tyres and can or will fly into some ones car or face. I seem to spend ages sweeping them up and then more appear the next day.
