Potholes and damaged road sides the whole length, 6th January
The road from Braughing to Furneux Pelham is an absolute disgrace. They’re more potholes than on any other road I have used. The hedges have not been cut making it difficult to navigate. Some potholes are very deep and the edges of the road very dangerous. It is so treacherous there could be a serious accident.

Missing road signs // danger to people and vehicles, 5th March
Recently at least three passenger vehicles have erroneously attempted to follow the road south towards Furneux Pelham. Since Violets Lane is a bridleway/part road they claimed they’d been taken down it on satellite navigation systems. At best the Lane is barely passable in rugged “proper” off-road vehicles and even those will struggle at the moment. The sign at the above marking indicating the danger has disappeared- the post is there, albeit horizontally, but nothing else. Please could you try to put up marking to prevent more people getting stuck, possibly injuring themselves and definitely costing the rescue services and their insurance lots of money? Thanks and kind regards. Richard Taylor
