Tree outside 2 Elm Close Henlow, 23rd April
Several branches have fallen off this tree over the last few months. One of the branches was hanging off. Part of the tree is dead and I did report it last year. I was told it would be monitored, but it has got worse over the months. Other branches are hanging precariously. My neighbour has removed several branches that were hanging down and he is concerned for people's safety if they are near the tree.

A507 Henlow https://maps.app.goo.gl/Tx1yqjKGJexmAynFA, 16th April
Several overmature and hazardous trees line this section of the A507 (south verge). They are in very poor condition, covered in ivy, and some have already fallen into the road. This busy road urgently needs a tree inspection by the Highways Department to avoid serious injury or even loss of life. Proper management will not only ensure safety but also preserve the health of the remaining trees.

Zebra crossing outside Etonbury Academy, Stotfold, 28th March
Good afternoon
My child, Emily Calzada-Lane was involved in a road traffic collision with a car on the zebra crossing, outside Etonbury Academy(Friday 22nd March 2024 at approx 15:25pm).
The car let her and her friend, cross the road by stopping. The girls then started to cross, but due to the drivers impatience of Emily and her friend starting off to cross the road, the car then decided to start driving off again. It came into contact with Emily's front wheel, causing it to bend. It made the chain detach and the pedal to slam into her leg.
She rang me straight away and said she's able to walk it home. She believes no staff saw the incident due to them dealing with another issue at the time.
Obviously, this could have been a LOT worse of an outcome and we all know how most drivers do not adhere to safety/common sense/patience along most roads, unless traffic calming measures are put in place.
Schools/Councils encourage children to walk/cycle to school, but, I worry that with lack of simple safety measures put in place, Emily will be just another child, among many being taken to school by car. At least she is A LOT safer that way.
I have let the school know of this incident and it be logged.
I have also got the police involved and today have recieved a request from them regarding the CCTV footage.
The only description that Emily could give was that it was a silver car.
I spoke on Monday, 25th March 2023 with a colleague in the Highways Department, named Tracey.
She said she will take this seriously and is aware that this IS NOT an isolated incident on that crossing, since the lollipop lady left. I have suggested a Pelican Crossing be implemented there to MAKE the cars stop and not move as and when they please. I believe Etonbury have also requested the same from yourselves for roughly 2 years, now.
Is nothing going to be done until a student is killed?
Cars come off the bypass which is a 60mph road and join from the roundabout the Arlesey Road outside the school. There is NOTHING there to make these vehicles slow down or stop for a pedestrian/cyclist.
PLEASE, seriously consider something be done ASAP.
The worry is so great, everytime my child uses that crossing. And as I said before, this is not an isolated incident on that crossing and Central Bedfordshire Council have been made aware of the previous times.
I have the police reference, if needed for yourselves.
PLEASE CONSIDER TAKING ACTION ASAP, PURELY FOR COMMON SENSE/SAFETY MEASURES ALONG THAT ROAD.
