Road drains are blocked so road is flooded, 7th March
When it rains the road floods and the water remains for weeks at a time. The road has currently been flooded for over 3 weeks with no sign of the water draining away.
This makes using the public footpath next to the road hazardous too

Pot hole on brow of the hill, 20th February
Next to new flats. Very large pot hole that you cannot avoid unless you go over to wrong side of the road. To add to the danger, pot hole gets filled with rain water and hard to see. Also street lights not working correctly so very dark. This pot hole has been present for a long while now, before Christmas, but has got increasingly larger this weekend it seems. Daughter's car damaged alloy and flat tyre as could not avoid due to oncoming traffic

Cause of recent flooding, 9th January
The whole of Watery Lane was recently closed due to the rain/flooding. Reason: All the drains were blocked by silt from the adjacent fields and are still blocked today. This is a constant problem as the drainage is not checked and cleaned regularly. In addition there are several dead trees and undergrowth at the side of the road just waiting to fall because they are only held up by the dead branches.

All the street lights along this stretch of the main road are not working, 15th December
At the top of Coventry Hill on the main road for a stretch about 300 yards. There is no street lighting working at all there several roads leading onto this lower road. Extremely dangerous needs fixing, hasn’t been working for about four months.

Lose manhole cover previously reported and has been getting progressively worse. The sound is measured at over 90db and is on the main carriageway towards Hullbridge.
