Foot long pothole along a manhole, 14th March
This pothole, which is adjacent to a manhole cover right at the junction of Sweyne Avenue and Rectory Road has been steadily deteriorating over the past 18 months or so. Not only is it a hazard for vehicle turning into Sweyne Avenue but it is additionally dangerous as it is going to damage the manhole cover in due course.

Severely blocked drain, 18th February
This drain that is currently outside my house No.2 Brays Lane and is severely blocked causing flooding which is now leading to a pot hole. The drain has been flooded for OVER 3 months and has been reported MULTIPLE times. I’m extremely angry as I have just gone to get my newborn baby in the car and myself and baby have been completely socked by a car driving past. I also went to pull off my drive last week when a car drove past and completely covered my windscreen to which I then could not see which resulted in me nearly having a head collision with another vehicle. Cars are driving past and water is flooding onto my drive causing debris to fly and hit my car, my car has now sustained multiple scratches. The flooding is taking up the whole side of the road causing significant harm to the public. We live right next door to a residential care home and as you can imagine this is also a great risk to them. We live right near primary schools so children are continuously walking up and down this UNSAFE road. My drive and cars are completely ruined and if this does not get fixed within immediate effect I will be claiming for compensation.

On the road side the drain surrounding has come away completely and it leave the drain hole completely exposed and is extremely dangerous to all road users!
If all previous road repairs were completed to a high standard we would not have to repeatedly have to report and as council tax payers the constant need to have the same repairs done again and again …. Please stop using cowboys as your contractors Essex County Council & Essex Highways!

Massive pothole, 27th November
This pothole has been in situ for some time and is due to the road disintegrating around the drain. It is wide enough to take narrow car tyres let alone cycle and motorcycle wheels. It will cause severe damage to any vehicle that has.to go through it and has the potential to seriously injure or even kill a cyclist or motorcyclist.

Maintenance truck parked on pavement, 24th November
Temporary roadworks outside businesses, ongoing problem, maintenance vehicle parking where it likes, driver rude. Public can't see if shop is open or not from road. The terrible state of all the bus stops in Rochford, 21st November
Bus stop in Ashington Road, Rochford opersite St Teresa’s School.
The bus stop is absolutely dirty and in desperate need of a completely good wash down, the digital timetable to be replaced as previous one damaged and never replaced, paper timetable updated, all the overgrown with hedging to be cut back, lighting in bus stop not working,
In fact all the lighting in all the bus stops in Rochford all need a massive deep clean, servicing, the maintenance and upkeep is atrocious!! Most of the bus stops are filthy dirty, overgrown with Hedging that are taking over the bus stop both inside and over it, smashed glass for months on end, never replaced, Perspex all scratched Graffiti damaged and clean by your people with acid that NOW you can’t even see out of it !!! Sooo it’s pointless even being graffiti cleaned. It might as well just be replaced!! Most of all the bus stops are absolutely filthy dirty…. Does anyone clean them??? Answer MOST DEFINITELY NOT!!

Bus stop needs to be clean and updated, 21st November
This bus stop needs to be cleaned and updated with a digital sync timetable, which I’m aware the last one was damaged. But how long have we got to wait for a replacement one! This wouldn’t happen this length of waiting time in Chelmsford! So why south of the county!
Also ECC please update all the bus stops with updated paper timetable that are actually sync with the bus company Arriva!! As it seem crazy they run the bus so called service and you run the timetable and they just does match up!!!

Outside the parade of shops- Pavement covered with weeds, 21st November
Outside the parade of shops opposite Roach Avenue, Rochford. This area is totally covered with weeds as per the photos.
I’m all for wildlife etc but in the appropriate places in the district!
But Rochford has become an absolute jungle of overgrown weeds everywhere. Which if not dealt with will start to break up the pavements areas, kerbsides and surrounding roads.
Rochford is a disgrace! The lawn grassed areas are barely ever cut and just become areas of totally out of control weeds.
ECC PLEASE START TO SPEND SO MONEY IMPROVING SOUTH OF THE COUNTY AND NOT USING OUR MONEY JUST NORTH OF THE COUNTY!!

Dalys Road over grown hedging, 21st November
The hedging in this location needs completely cutting back and it blocks the pavement area.
This has been reported several time to ECC as in the summer people were sleeping and drinking at the rear of the very over grown hedging- But ECC had done nothing about this issue.
