18 inch pothole in middle of road, 7th April
The pothole is approximately 3cm deep and is getting worse every day. It has been there for 3 months. There are also a number of smaller potholes in the same bit of road.

Zebra crossing, 5th April
I have lived on this road for 9 years and trying to cross this road is impossible due to the amount of traffic. I continually see people waiting and waiting to cross and the nearest crossing on this road is way further up the road near Thorpe road and Brookside. The problem is you have to cross the road here to go into Hockley as the pavement doesn't exist on one side of the road. It is very dangerous trying to cross over and there are a lot of older people in the area.

Foot long pothole along a manhole, 14th March
This pothole, which is adjacent to a manhole cover right at the junction of Sweyne Avenue and Rectory Road has been steadily deteriorating over the past 18 months or so. Not only is it a hazard for vehicle turning into Sweyne Avenue but it is additionally dangerous as it is going to damage the manhole cover in due course.

Severely blocked drain, 18th February
This drain that is currently outside my house No.2 Brays Lane and is severely blocked causing flooding which is now leading to a pot hole. The drain has been flooded for OVER 3 months and has been reported MULTIPLE times. I’m extremely angry as I have just gone to get my newborn baby in the car and myself and baby have been completely socked by a car driving past. I also went to pull off my drive last week when a car drove past and completely covered my windscreen to which I then could not see which resulted in me nearly having a head collision with another vehicle. Cars are driving past and water is flooding onto my drive causing debris to fly and hit my car, my car has now sustained multiple scratches. The flooding is taking up the whole side of the road causing significant harm to the public. We live right next door to a residential care home and as you can imagine this is also a great risk to them. We live right near primary schools so children are continuously walking up and down this UNSAFE road. My drive and cars are completely ruined and if this does not get fixed within immediate effect I will be claiming for compensation.

On the road side the drain surrounding has come away completely and it leave the drain hole completely exposed and is extremely dangerous to all road users!

Nosey drain cover, 16th January
The road drain outside 18 Ashingdon Road Rochford has now been 'Fixed' 3 times! And it is still making a loud clonk clonk noise. This have been going on for over 6 months and is just ridiculous now. This drain is moving again and getting dangerous once again. Any chance of a 4th try at fixing it?

Flashing street light for 4 weeks, 2nd January
This street light has been flashing on and off for weeks. I can see it from my bedroom 3 streets away. It’s been reported as ‘not turning on’ on essex county council website but the information is wrong. This light must be disturbing everyone in its radius. It’s awful. Please attend to it.
