Large & Deep Pothole, 13th January
This large and deep pothole is at the side of the road opposite the entrance to Woodpeckers Care Home. Due to vehicles being parked outside Woodpeckers the road width is restricted and this causes vehicle drivers and cyclists to have to move close to the edge of the road towards the pothole. Cyclists (many) who are unaware of the pothole are forced to swerve and there is a risk of collisions. It is particularly dangerous when raining when the pothole fills with water and it is dark with poor street lighting as it is hidden from view. Someone has thoughtfully placed a traffic cone in the pothole as a warning. PLEASE, PLEASE seal the edges of the repair on completion to prevent future water ingress.
