Two large potholes very close to each other now covering half the lane, 1st April
These potholes are rapidly increasing in size and also getting deeper. They cover half the width of the road and have very jagged edges. The lane has no streetlights so they are particularly hazardous at night. They’re very dangerous for cyclists. Please can you fix them?

Long stretch of road with potholes and broken surface, 17th March
The surface of the road is potholed and rough/broken where it has been badly repaired before and it forces people turning into Kiln Lane to drive near the centre of the road to avoid it. It has been like this for several months

Gravel on pavement and road, 16th February
Gravel has been across the pavement since the storm shortly before 5th Jan. when I first reported the need for this part of Main Road B3354 to be included in HCC's remedial sweeping

Gravel washed down Woodland Drove has not been cleared from along Main Road B3354, 16th February
The gravel was deposited by the storms in early January. I reported the deposits to HCC and asked HCC to include the B3354 when sweeping locally. Sweeping often ends at the Highbridge Road junction. The B3335 has been swept, but B3354 still has gravel deposits, as shown.

Gravel was been washed down Woodland Drove. A large pile has been collected at the foot of the northern sign for Woodland Drove, however the pavement is still totally covered!, 16th February

Drain collapsing and blocked by gravel, 16th February
The drain at the end of Woodland Drove needs clearing regularly. A deep puddle forms and all passing vehicles cause a large splash across the pavement. Edges of the road surface are now crumbling and the drop is approx. 10cm.

Large pothole on bend and in the middle of the lane., 29th January

Winter Bourne now turned to ice, 11th January
I have received this e-mail from a resident this morning
We have a real safety issue on our hands along Hensting Lane. In the last 24hrs alone there has been a 3 car pile up, a 2 car accident, a lorry turn over ( pictures attached), two single car accidents and a lady slide off her bike.
The road needs to be gritted ASAP and then also 3 grit/salt boxes put along key areas on Hensting Lane.
The road provides access to many residents and small local businesses so even though a small Lane it sees a lot of traffic.
As the Lane is a Winterbourne we get lots of excess water on the roads. Then we get a cold snap so it freezes and becomes more treacherous.
Please can you confirm something will be done ASAP so I can report back to the residents?

I have a video of an car accident this morning at the dog leg bend which I can forward on request. I know unless its a bus route you do not grit roads but can anything be done?? Some specific feedback for residents to help me as Clerk would be helpful. I have made a grit bin request under reference 21713093

Black Ice for 2 days, 7 cars crashed and lorry, 11th January
There is significant black ice which is due to road flooding and cold temperatures. Yesterday morning there was a 4 car crash, another crash in the afternoon, a crash this morning, a bin lorry overturned and two cyclists fallen off, one in front of a car
