Many Dangerous potholes on link road from Leaton Hall to Huffley Lane, 22nd April

Mon, 22 Apr 2024 12:08:53 +0100
52.763282 -2.78575

This road has many deep and dangerous potholes causing drivers to swerve to avoid them. Deep ones just past the industrial estate westbound and eastbound and westbound on the Left bend towards Leaton Hall junction. Some of these potholes have been developing for months and are now dangerous - why repair one next to a pothole and leave the next one when it is within a couple of feet? This road needs walking and ALL the potholes repairing!

Dangerous surface degredation and potholes, 17th April

Wed, 17 Apr 2024 11:12:26 +0100
52.766099 -2.800946

This junction has a series of very large potholes and damaged road surface. They have been getting progressively worse over the last few months and are now very bad. You cannot drive around the junction correctly due to the size and damage, they are so large that they have to be avoided by negotiating the best path through the middle of the junction. It is very busy junction joining a fast road and is extremely dangerous.

Water pooling and field sodden, 15th April

Mon, 15 Apr 2024 14:28:28 +0100
52.770194 -2.782467

The school field is flooded on the corner of Whitehouse Lane and Shrewsbury Road. The field nearer the school is also completed sodden, so we cannot let the children on it or mow it. This has been happening for a while but has got worse over the last six months. We have consulted with PSG and they asked us to call Severn Trent to check for leaks. Severn Trent have been today and said that there are no leaks but it's probably down to drainage. Severn Trent have told us to contact the yourselves. Thanks

Pavement needs looking at, 14th April

Sun, 14 Apr 2024 19:56:03 +0100
52.761927 -2.792116

I have reported this before (over a year ago). The whole pavement from Leaton to Coton Hill is overgrown with grass/weeds to such an extent that in places it looks like there is no pavement at all. Nothing has happened to clear the pavement since my first report. The length of pavement on this road needs some attention, and to be cleared as it is not safe for people to use it.

Path to school needs clearing, 12th April

Fri, 12 Apr 2024 15:45:02 +0100
52.769283 -2.780748

Path up whitehouse lane along the side of the school (Main school walking route) is covered is mud. This has been reported multiple times and is apparently being completed in your upcoming maintenance but this was apparently the case 2 months ago. The path is so muddy I can barely walk down it with a single pushchair without being in the deep mud. My 5 year old son slipped in the mud today as he couldn’t avoid walking in it due to other pedestrians and fell over. He cut all his leg and knee as well as completely covering his clothes in mud. He was incredibly lucky to avoid all the stinging nettles in the bush next to the path! This needs clearing as a matter of urgency before someone else gets seriously injured.

Road Surface, 9th April

Tue, 09 Apr 2024 13:38:05 +0100
52.762323 -2.789391

I can see that some of the potholes have been fixed recently, however there are more and more appearing or existing ones getting much worse now. Also what I would describe as the surface of the road is actually disappearing with some areas 2-3ft square completely gone. This is causing cars to swerve to avoid and really could do with a surge of remedial work throughout from Gravel Wood junction back up to the level crossing.

Road Gully issue near Leaton Industrial Estate, 9th April

Tue, 09 Apr 2024 10:41:02 +0100
52.76334 -2.781788

Road Gully issue near Leaton Industrial Estate, Bomere Heath, Shrewsbury SY4 3AP I write to bring to your attention a problem of two surface drainage gullys in the road adjacent Leaton Industrial Estate, Bomere Heath, Shrewsbury SY4 3AP. This has been a problem for many months. Water flows out of the gully nearest to the level crossing and flows along the road towards the industrial estate entrance. The water misses the next gully and flows on further which is eroding the verge.

Collapsed road sign see photo, 8th April

Mon, 08 Apr 2024 11:20:58 +0100

Rotted support posts been like this for about six months. Would be environmentally friendly if the name plate could be reinstated on new supports. This sign is one of the old cast aluminium type and part of the character of the village. I’d be willing to do the repaint in situe??

Mon, 08 Apr 2024 10:57:10 +0100
52.763323 -2.785794

There are lots of deep potholes along this road, some have recently been repaired, but there are still lots left which cause traffic to swerve into the opposite lane and is especially dangerous. Why were only some repaired? Can you come back and finish the rest of the job.
