Continuous flooding across whole of road. Unable to get through in a wheelchair or with a pram., 17th April

Wed, 17 Apr 2024 10:22:48 +0100
52.79953 -2.83233

Continuous flooding across whole of road. Unable to get through in a wheelchair or with a pram. This has been unblocked in the past but continues to happen due to the muddy state of the road never being cleaned up therefore any rain washes the mud into drain which can't cope and gets clogged up and then we are left with a flooded road for we'll over 4 or 5 months now.

Huge pothole around a drain that can't be avoided and completely unoticable in the dark, 26th January

Fri, 26 Jan 2024 14:41:43 +0000
52.803077 -2.842037

I a slight bend , busy road getting a lot worse over the past week especially dangerous in the dark if someone does swerve on this country road. Been cracking up for months but the edge of the whole section from Baschurch to the burlton turn off is getting very eroded due to the amount of large farm machines and artics using the road and regularly going over the edge of the asphalt.

Well over twelve months ago I reported the problem all that was done were white lines painted, 8th January

Mon, 08 Jan 2024 12:00:53 +0000
52.809732 -2.812208

Several surface water drains have sunk creating a hazed for cyclists pedestrians and vehicles. The longer they are left the worse they are becoming. What’s the point of reporting a problem that nothing is done . I also reported that road starting to deteriorate between Marton and Baschurch . Falling away over two years ago. If looked at it might have been easier to fix than it is now. Traffic lights for months now and told the council don’t have funds to get it fixed. I thought the government were giving a boost to councils for road maintenance after scrapping HS2.

Large volumes of trffic using heavily flooded lane as diversion, 5th January

Fri, 05 Jan 2024 08:41:43 +0000
52.799505 -2.83242

Baschurch crossing is malfunctioning and heavy volumes of traffic are using Eyton and Fenemere lane as a diversion however, as previously reported there is a deep flood on this corner due to silted up drainage, the verges are soft and saturated and are being further eroded with the volume of traffic using the lane. i am aware of other floods between Fenemere farm and Myddle. i think this is dangerous and the road needs to be marked as closed until the floods have been cleared as the traffic is compounding the problem and will likely lead to stuck vehicles whether on soft verses or flood water. Every vehicle that attempts to pass though the flood pushes water into The grove property and this is very unfair on the resident that lives there. Please can someone attend urgently.

Large deep flood regularly blocking road, 3rd January

Wed, 03 Jan 2024 16:24:56 +0000
52.799529 -2.83238

This corner continuously floods and takes weeks to disappear as the drain o the corner is blocked with mud. we tried to dig it out ourselves but to no avail. the recent weather has made it worse than ever and even delivery vans will not go though it. the water is over flowing on to the nearest property and the water is too deep for my car to navigate with out issue. i believe a larger pipe used to feed to outflow from this drain but some years ago it was replaced by a smaller pipe and since then we experience this regular flooding, it feels like the road has been blocked for 90% of the time since October (varying in size) in this time the drain has been cleared by yourselves but again has blocked up, please can this be urgently looked at

Ongoing temporary traffic lights, 26th September

Tue, 26 Sep 2023 08:40:43 +0100
52.802418 -2.843088

“temporary” traffic lights have been situated in this location for a period approaching (if not exceeding) 6 months. The site of the “please wait here” sign creates issues for those of us who need to access our properties since cars waiting in the traffic block the entrance to the lane - this causes issues with traffic travelling from the Myddle direction. The sign needs to be relocated further down Marton Road to the other side of the lane entrance if possible. Would you also please advise how much longer the “temporary” lights are likely to be used in situ?! Many thanks.
