NSG states:- Hoping to use this road to Lake Vyrnwy shortly, but disturbed by the past reports of challenges to use. Can you confirm if this is a public road, and if any restrictions are placed on it? Eng: U2078 UNMETALLED FROM METALLED BY TRACK LEADING TO PANTYFFYNNON TO BRYN-ADDA, LLANWDDYN, OSWESTRY Classification: None Responsibility: Maintainable at public expense, Powys Street State: Open SH9918-02 “On going issues with the landowner who claims the route is unsafe at the ancient bridge. Route locked at each end and very anti farmer. To be investigated.” “Passed this route today and the gate at the north end is indeed locked off with big chains still, shame as the route looks epic over the tops of the moors.” “I encountered the very aggressive farmer at the south end of the lane a couple of years ago. When his son appeared out of the house with a carving knife we decided it was better to retreat.” “No idea if still classed as UCR. Gate with big padlock blocking south end half way up.” “I believe this route has a rather crazy farmer. We have had reports of threats of violence and serious intimidation. If you entered from the South end through his yard you must have been lucky!”
