Gully block/collapsed, 17th August
The Drain outside my home is in a poor state, it is blocked so surface water from the highway creates huge dangerous puddles out to the white line. Highway users have to avoid the puddle by crossing a double white line onto the opposite side of the highway! I have witnessed a number of near head on collisions because of this. Not only is it dangerous to road users but it is a problem for our family having huge amounts of water and debris entering our property in waves caused by Vehicles passing, causing damage as the water is eventually getting into our garage. The road looks as though it has had a previous poor repair as the water even puddles before it gets to the gully. I have reported this on numerous occasions but had no success in getting the problem resolved. Someone had attended with a lorry to suck the silt out and clean the gully but didn't make abit of difference. It also looks like they have gotten some blue upvc pipe stuck down it aswell. This area is already a flood risk area and with having this outside our property is causing serious problems and concerns. It won't be long until our property is flooded or someone aquaplaning crashes onto our property or even worse a fatality.
