Speed Cameras Needed, 14th April
As a local I’m disgusted at the speeds people come down this stretch of road, it’s a 30 and some people must do double that. It’s dangerous and drivers have no respect for the local area or people. Something needs to be done.

Deep Pothole, 16th April
While driving on this road we hit a pothole and it caused alot of damage to our vehicle. Due to 3 kids in the car I failed to take photos. It needs to be filled/fixed.
We were lucky a recovery driver was behind us and helped us to safety and took our vehicle on low loader to a garage for repair.

Dangerous Parking, 22nd February
Cars are now parking on both sides of the road. This is becoming a hazard. Particularly as many don’t seem to know how to park or drive. With both sides having parked cars for a considerable section of the road it also causes visibility issues.

No Grit left, 11th February
The provision of Grit for the top section of Riley Lane is required beyond Riley Graves, I would suggest a pile to the right of the gate on the right and a second pile on the right of the path in Pretty Wood. The use of the lane is treacherous to all who use this popular route.

The 30 mile an hour light-up speed sign coming into Grindleford from Calver isn't working, 18th June
This is one of those signs which lights up if vehicles are exceeding 30 mph as they enter the village. A resident has reported that at the moment it isn't doing that - I'm not sure how long it has been broken.

Better monitoring of speed limits on southern approach to Grindleford, 16th May
Traffic approaching Grindleford from the crossroads at Calver is travelling through a 50 mph zone for most of the way. There is an issue with cars not slowing down for the 40 sign as they come into the residential area, and then not slowing down to 30 mph a little way further on. New Road to Eyam is now closed and therefore much more popular with bikes and walkers. They are crossing at the top of a blind hill. It's also hard for residents to get their cars out safely. If there are speed traps coming to the area, could they target this area to deter fast driving?

Stre, 13th May
Roadside parking by lower entrance to Longshaw estate, which is blocking the carriageway. This is an ongoing problem on sunny days, but is getting worse as the summer progresses. Grindleford Parish Council discussed the issue at their last meeting and wish to register their concern that this represents a danger to motorists and pedestrians as there is insufficent space to pass.

Parking charge of £2 has been introduced in the approach road for Grindleford station, 7th April
The cashless parking meter never seems to be working since being introduced in December 2017. It makes Ramblers walkers uneasy that they are going to get fined if they park there. Why is it taking so long to sort out?
