Large pothole in the centre of the road., 25th February
I hit the pothole whilst driving from Coolham towards the A24 junction. I was travelling in dark wet weather and it resulted in 4 inch tear in my front right tyre, leaving me stranded on the roadside and with an expensive bill to replace the tyre.

Dangerous grass verge, 11th June
The central reservation here and a little further north for the steyning road turning is so overgrown that you can only see if in a tall vehicle like a pickup truck. Our Ford Focus has no visibility at all, we have to use cars coming out of the junction as a signal that the road is hopefully clear! The southbound sliproad grass is also too high, making it difficult to leave our driveway. I’m surprised an accident has t yet happened. There has been an increase in drivers beeping. “Love West Sussex” have been notified but as yet have done nothing about this issue and it really is extremely urgent now.

Overgrown grass hindering visability, 10th June
When turning right from A24 northbound to go into Steyning Road it is extremely difficult to see southbound traffic because the grass is so high. This is already a very difficult turning (with many accidents over the years). The grass above the carriageway on the southbound section needs cutting.

Food Litter and rubbish A272, 21st February
We were driving from Hayward’s Heath via Coolham on the A272 and there is a huge amount of takeaway litter and various items flytipped on the grass verges; one large plastic milk bottle flew up and hit our car. Could you arrange a good clean up of the road A272 plus also after Coolham village as it follows on to Petworth. Thank you Karen 07568 358502

Dangerous Junction, 22nd May
Whilst heading North on the A24, the right hand lane (slip road) to turn right onto A272 is far too short and as such during busy periods causes unnecessary congestion with the middle lane (travelling North on A24) becoming blocked from use by cars queuing to turn right. Vehicles often pull out from the right lane to enter the middle or left lane at the last moment. I believe an incident is inevitable unless the right hand lane (slip road is greatly extended to at least twice its current length.

Potholes & uneven road surface at junction, 21st March
At the junction of the A272 and Shipley Road, traffic turn from the A272 into Shipley Road is turning onto a series of potholes / uneven road surface. The potholes arent very deep yet but traffic usually leaves the A272 at reasonable speed (too fast), and it is impossible to avoid the uneven road surface as you join the Shipley Road. I've witnessed several cars slide and have to brake hard as they've hit these bumps at speed and it's only a matter of time before they contribute to an accident.
