Massive pothole or loose drain cover, 23rd February
Yesterday evening at around 6.20pm I was driving in the dark/rain on this road around the Spring Inn on the A4 area, with a car in front when suddenly I felt a massive dip and associated jolt to the car which sounded and felt like a very big pothole or from the metal noise like a loose drain lid. It was impossible to see it in the dark and it’s a fast road. I was able to travel the short distance to my destination. However on the way home my tyre pressure warning light came on. In the daylight I can see that I have a bulge in the affected front passenger side tyre which and it needs to be replaced as a result of this incident. I’m not able to travel back to locate/ take a photo of this due to it being 25 mins away and I suspect my car might be unsafe to drive such a distance until the tyre is changed.

Very deep pothole next to iron work drain cover on A4 west bound, 23rd February
Pot hole is in middle of lane and hard to see at night. It is about 2 feet long and estimate 5 inches deep with sharp edge of iron work protruding. It would definitely unseat a motor bike user. It will/ has definitely damaged vehicles. The pothole has been there for at least 12 months. On this 60 mph road it is extremely dangerous.

Incident of Tin being thrown at schoolbus driver, 24th January
One of our school teachers was involved in a traffic incident today when she was driving back today on the M4 from Reading - Netball matches with Crossfields with the U11 girls
An approximately aged 20-late 30s white male with dark short hair and wearing a dark puffa' type jacket climbed the banister of an overhead bridge over the M4 Westbound carriageway ( estimated to be at a crossing approximately in line with Moore Copse Nature Reserve as they were driving Westbound on the M4 towards the A34 and Newbury exit) and he purposely threw a dark object ( she presumes a can or tin) towards the minibus she was driving in. It hit the roof of the CHK minibus ( Sean has checked for damages) sending a shock of noise through her and the children onboard.
Helen is understandably upset, shocked and anxious and has given us a statement following the incident approximately at 17.10
We believe the incident happened roughly around at 16.10 as they had just left netball match in Reading
