Multiple deep and large pot holes, 10th December
There a multiple and large potholes in the passing place designated by your highway signs. These are a big hazard. It’s caused by the surface being made of mud and stone and it being a designated HGV route. The HGVS will just keep creating bigger and deeper holes. It needs to be a more perminant structure. Also as it’s on the blind bend it’s only a matter of time before a serious car accident

Multiple potholes in this location caused by heavy lorries driving over badly done prior patching, 2nd December
One pothole is quite deep with a sharp, hard back edge. The road is used by HGVs and they wear away the road surface at that location constantly - repeated temporary patching makes no difference. Boggy ground makes it worse. Needs a proper solution with drainage and appropriate remedial work, not temporary patching.

Road floods when it rains, 9th May
The road floods and creates a huge ford. There are drains at the side of the road but they must blocked. You can see the damage the floods have caused as the verge and hedge roots has worn away. If it continues this was the hedge may fall into the road as there will be no dirt holding it in place. This happens anytime it rains anything more than a light shower

Large pothole with traffic cone buried in it, 5th January
There is a huge pothole that someone has now placed a traffic cone into to warn other road users of the hazard. It is large and deep enough for a standard road traffic cone with black plastic base to be placed within the hole and it goes up to the reflective tape on the cone. Multiple cars have had blow outs over December. The road was due for closure on 13th dec however due to the frost work didn’t commence and no update available on when it will be commenced. The poor state of the road is due to the large amount of HGV that use the road daily. The road is not wide enough for HGV’s and it is made of substantive material to withstand the weight of the vehicles. This is why multiple repairs are done in the road but do not last. The road needs to be made suitable and substantive (with proper road edges and toughened passing points) to survive any sort of HGv passing down the route

Large pothole on bend by railway bridge, 5th January
There is a large and deep bot hole maybe half meters wide and deep on the bend by the railway bridge. Caused by large HGVs when turning. The road isn’t suitable for HGVs due to the width of the road and the road edges not being finished. There are also multiple potholes on the edge of both sides of the road travelling towards the cross roads (andover direction). Again caused by HGV’s moving over on the narrow road and breaking the edge of the road due to their weight and causing a danger for other road users. If this is a designated HGV road it should be slightly wider so that 2 HGVs can pass in either direction without deviating from the road and the road edges should be completed properly to ensure they are stable and can hold the weight of HGVs
