Zebra crossing, 22nd March
My children attend the pre-school and primary school in Preston Candover and the 30mph speed limit is not adhered to by road users. In the last two years there have been numerous road traffic collisions, one not that long along which required every emergency service at the scene after a car had crashed and flipped. This particular incident happened 45 minutes before school finish time. I’m writing this after my child nearly got hit by a driver exceeding the speed limit, slamming on breaks and pulling into a space quickly to let another car past this afternoon. I’m not entirely sure why a zebra crossing on a main road, outside a primary and pre-school, isn’t already in place. Will it take one of our children to be killed along this road before someone takes responsibility for road safety? I’d really appreciate it if this was looked at as an urgent matter, it would also be helpful if someone form highways was able to come and assess the situation during school drop off/pick up and see how dangerous it is for students of ages between 2-10 years old. Many thanks, I look forward to a response.

Very poor repair by utility company, 2nd June
The whole of this road if you are coming down it towards Preston Candover has been subject to a diabolical repair. The left side is so bad that most of it is impossible to drive along. Frequent use will definitely damage suspension of your vehicle and if you are a cyclist it is dangerous. Whoever repaired the length of this road should be made to re surface it. There are quite a few drivers that use this as what can only be described as a race track and often emerge round a bend or even travel down the straight at high speed on the wrong side of the road to avails driving on it. Can we please look at getting it re surfaced asap before there is a fatality.

Large pothole, 2nd June
This area around this pothole needs to be completely re surfaced. There are lots of small holes that are breaking up. The state of it makes breaking as you approach the T junction very dangerous due to the large amount of debris accumulating. To dangerous to stop and measure depth

The whole road along the area indicated needs to be repaired, 2nd June
The whole of this road in the area indicated by the red arrow needs repairs along the left side. It is a serious danger to cyclists who frequent this road in very large numbers . Often on racing bikes with very fragile tyres. The consequences of hitting any of these holes doesn’t bear thinking about and could result in very serious injury or even death if they are thrown into the path of passing or on coming vehicles. Especially large farm vehicles and HGVs that cause the pothole damage and are to be Frank to large for this Type of road!
