Traffic Light Schedule, 13th February
The timings of the lights have been changed pre Christmas 2023 and causing tailbacks and traffic delays on toe lane at the junction with Norwood Road. The traffic coming from over the bridge towards churchtown gets a lot longer on green light to allow right turns down Norwood Road. This means that the traffic is building back on roe lane going towards town centre, so far back that the queue is blocking a right turn into the cup de sac as well as blockage for the cars that are wishing to turn left at the lights down Norwood Road. Can the timings please bee re looked at.

Park ave /20mph query, 13th December
We live on Park ave /46 which is a traditional town road in width and very poor road surface at the top by Roe Lane . However it is a run for heavy commercial vehicles even with a weight limit sign and a steady flow of private cars either way .The concerns we have are the speeds these vehicles travel up and down the road certainly in excess of 30 mph and we have various road signs stating 20 mph /in fact think a new one has been placed entering Park Ave from Roe Lane ? The road is in fact 20 mph hence the fix my street and suggest as with most 20 mph roads in Southport no monitoring to assure that the 20 mph is adhered to for safety reasons to pedestrians and children making their way to the two local schools close by !
