The following problems have been reported on Fix My Street within 2 miles of PR3 1SQ:
Collapsed/blocked culvert underneath a road causing flooding, 21st August
Back in April a number of residents from Calder Vale reported that there was a collapsed or blocked culvert crossing Calder Vale Road, from the village recreation ground over to a farmers field on the opposite side of the road. There has been no update given to any of the residents who complained in April and since the recent heavy rains the flooding is starting again. This is due to the fact that the water from the recreation ground is not able to flow freely through the culvert under the highway and in to the field opposite. Instead it is creating a 'pond' in the recreation ground, which becomes a hazard and a risk for those who use the grounds. The village is wanting to further develop this recreation ground but this will be futile if the damaged culvert is not fixed. Can we please have an update as to what happened with out initial complaints in April and what is the outcome. Much appreciated, with thanks.
