Illegal Parking Creating an obstruction and danger, 25th February
Outside Bishop Rawstorne School the is a No Stopping sign and newly road repainted markings indicating no Stopping between the hour of 8am-6pm weekdays. This is being completely Ignored by some people collecting children from school at around 15.15pm, this has also extended some parking partly on the pavement. The results being that parents with push chairs and prams are forced to walk in the road as they are unable to pass on the footpath. The coaches have an obstructed view when exiting the school and are force to swing straight out into oncoming traffic on the wrong side of the road. Traffic flow is reduced and car drivers, children and adults do not have a clear view when entering the road to cross or pull out against oncoming vehicles. I have spoken with the police and community officer, who say it is the responsibility of the council to enforce the parking restrictions. So making the road and footpaths safe.

Streetlights out, 27th December
There are several streetlamps not working, making this short section of the A59 - between the roundabout (with Carr House Lane) and the canal bridge at Tarleton - noticeably darker than it should be. On inspection, I'd estimate that you will find at least a quarter of the lamps are out. Thank you.
