Insensitive lights!, 19th October
The lights here are not sensitive enough to detect cyclists waiting at a red light, causing long waits at off-peak times when the lights don't change in a regular sequence.

Dangerous light sequence, 19th October
The lack of a delay from when the lights change on Tavistock Road to turning green on William Prance Road is causing southbound cyclists on Tavistock Road to be caught in front of traffic joining the southbound carriageway from William Prance Road. This has the potential to cause a serious incident and should be changed immediately.

Vehicles parking on double yellow lines causing a danger to school children and pedestrians, 27th September
There are double yellow lines on Notre Dame close that are always parked on during the times when pupils are leaving school. My daughter was clipped by a car for the second time today on her arm. They block the road in and out of the school and cause traffic to only be able to move one way. School say they cannot do anything to stop this dangerous practice as it is out of their juristriction. Could this road have the parking restrictions enforced between 3-3.45pm?

Incorect No Entry sign Trowbridge close, Whitleigh, Plymouth, 13th August
The demolished sign is recent although its clear where it was stood for many years, my issue is :- There should a "No Entry" sign either side of the car park exit not just one on the right, also the first two bays on the right are in "no man's land" as the white line road marking does not meet the no entry sign. In my opinion this in effect makes the whole no entry layout void and without any meaning. I have noticed over a long period of time drivers have ignored the sign and road markings and driven through specially to gain access to the first two bays on the right. I am a retired DSA ADI and I realise the demands set to our local authorities but my main concern here is as a matter of safety

Trees overgrown blocking traffic lights, 12th July
The trees to the left hand side of the traffic lights at the entrance to Sir John Hunt School are so overgrown that when you are driving up the hill towards the lights you are unable to see the traffic lights at all, this is a hazard because people can’t see when the lights are on red. This has caused a few near miss accidents.

Massess of weeds growing into bushes and overhanging trees, 26th June
Masses of weeds where road meets pavement sprouting into full bushes. Trees overhanging into road that frequently drop branches onto highway. Residents fences look like the are about to also collapse because of the trees jutting out just by Boundary Place. Surely owners have a responsibility to ensure safety and damage to persons and property

Traffic Crossing Pedestrian Crossing when green man is present- at peak times, 1st June
I use the pedestrian crossing on the A386 at the George Junction (tavistock bound outside Toby carvery pub) on a daily basis. When the crossing changes to the green man to indicate that it is safe to cross there is always traffic still moving across the crossing at peak times. For myself as an able sighted person this is not a problem; but I fear for a blind member of the public if they had to cross as they would not know of the danger present. This is an ongoing issue and can make it difficult to cross. I cross each day at approx. 1745 and have to try and judge if cars will let me cross between the traffic.
