Overgrown Path way on slip Road, 21st August

Mon, 21 Aug 2023 09:42:18 +0100
50.386514 -3.933969

CYP look into maintaining and improving the B3213 Westbound Slip Road. The road and pathway is very hazardous to ALL users - wheel chair, prams, cyclists, and pedestrians. The path is so bad in places making it single lane with vegetation overgrown over the path stinging nettles and brambles. As a resident I use this pathway on a regular basis along with many others who head to Endsleigh gardening centre. users must step into the road or brambles to pass making it very frightening especially with children when cars are passing at speed. CYP look into making the path wider by cutting back the vegetation on the path and bush side, but also look into putting a safety barrier the roadside separating the path and road.

Parking on blind corners, 25th June

Sun, 25 Jun 2023 22:00:27 +0100
50.385797 -3.929245

During the work week (9am-5pm) Monday - Friday there are cars parked on the blind corner. This is a 60mph road and oncoming vehicles approach very quickly. Due to the number of cars parked, there is often nowhere to pull in. Cars that are parked in this area often park over the pavement meaning youngsters walking to the Tennis / Cricket clubs often have to walk on a busy, fast-flowing road. This is a main arterial route to nearby towns in the South Hams and also the main route off of the A38. Consideration is needed to add double yellow lines, or provide alternative parking (or a combination of both)

Cycle path view to oncoming users is dangerous because of overgrown vegetation. This is at the end of the layby by the hunting lodge., 15th June

Thu, 15 Jun 2023 07:41:38 +0100
50.385961 -3.94492

The vegetation is very overgrown at the end of the layby where the cycle path crosses the road. The view to oncoming bikes / pedestrians is significantly reduced. With the amount of road / ebikes that use this route it isn't going to be long until someone is knocked down here unless the vegetation is cleared ASAP.
