No work taken place for two and a half years, 14th November

Tue, 14 Nov 2023 23:33:51 +0000
52.326767 -0.182235

A1307 between Huntingdon and Godmanchester - roadworks have been abandoned, but the 40mph limit has stayed in place on a dual-carriageway. I have not seen a single worker doing anything for two and a half years. Is the plan to conveniently forget about it until the road is handed over to the county council?

40mph on A1307, 26th June

Mon, 26 Jun 2023 16:45:14 +0100
52.322793 -0.170147

This complaint from 2021 was closed because the work would be completed in March 2022 and the temporary speed limit removed. Is that now not the case? Many thanks in advance: . FixMyStreet ref: 2880947. Dear Highways England - You kindly explained that the reason for the 40-mph limit on this section of the A1307 is that the central barrier needs upgrading for safety reasons, and that this is scheduled for March 2022. You also explained that your contractor will be amending the signage to explain that the 40-mph limit is 'for safety reasons'

Speed limit A1307, Huntingdon, 11th June

Sun, 11 Jun 2023 16:13:49 +0100
52.324209 -0.172722

In previous years you have advised that the speed limit would be reduced to 40mph because of “Safety reasons” and the contractor would be charging the signage. This was done. You then went on to advise that the works would be completed within a year and the road would revert to 70mph. Here we are over a year later and NOTHING has been done and the relevant section still has a 40 mph speed limit. Please advise why nothing has been done ? Also precisely which part of the road is the problem? And, when the speed restriction will be lifted?
