Flooding deep lane, 16th March
I reported this problem 2 weeks ago, water is still covering the whole road, no pedestrians can cross this road, my children are not able to walk to bus or home, debris under the water likely to cause damage to tyres and brakes. You have closed my report but not been to check this problem, but only refer to drains being cleared yearly. Something needs to be done about this issue, we have not recently had bad rain so this should have cleared by now. I respectfully ask that these are cleared as this is not acceptable

Pe23 4lz, 15th March
This area of flooded roadway has been under water since a week or so before the 28th Feb 2024. The problem is caused by water draining off from the adjacent field. The water is now no longer draining away from the road which also serves as a FOOTPATH to the 3 properties further along the lane, Rothbury House, Partridge Hurn and Lambs Cottage. This has been an on going problem for many years. The FOOTPATH cannot be used to gain access to the A158 or the 3 properties at the far end of Deep Lane on foot unless wellington boot type of footwear is worn. This route is also a PUBLIC FOOTPATH, so not only do the residents of Deep Lane struggle to pass this flooded section of the road on foot, public footpath walkers cannot pass either. THE ONLY WAY TO GET PASSED THIS FLOODED SECTION OF ROAD ON FOOT IS TO CLIMB UP ONTO THE VERGE WHICH IS UNEVEN AND DIFFICULT TO TRAVERSE. My Autistic son has to walk from Partridge Hurn to the A158 to catch the bus on a regular basis, I have to drive him through this flooded area regularly which is not helping him and his need for routine at all.
