Seaweed still on only walking surface on main A896, 19th January
The seaweed washed up on the pavement around 3 January. The A896 is the main route for vehicles going of the north of the island. Only pavement on this one side for pedestrians. Seaweed still there almost 3 weeks later.Hard to get through pushing either wheelchair or pram. Now treacherous under foot when wet or icy as it is slippy .

Broken branch hanging from tree, 8th November
Branch overhanging the road. Visibly broken and hanging above the roadside. Will soon snap and endanger traffic on the road and pedestrians on the narrow footpath. Not an easy road to stop on to take any photos

Edge of road breaking down, services exposed, 30th July
Rain water run off is breaking down the edge of the road on the inside of a tight bend. Vehicles struggle to pass now as the road is narrowed and the edge is so sharp. The yellow "caution" tape laid over the services has been exposed for some time. The drainage is clogged by material washed down the hill from the unadopted section then swept into the ditch by the road sweeper and passing vehicles.

Poisonous weeds at height of childs pushchair on path, 6th July
Hogweed spreading along beach overspilling onto footpath at height where a child can touch it easily. Yellow weed spreading out of control. Narrowing the only footpath on the main road A896 which brings all heavy traffic in from the Ferry at the top of the island.

No Maintenance of grass and footpath, 26th July
Path previously accessible for pram/wheelchair. Grassno longer cut out this far. 4 stairs replaced the ramp. No hand rail and have been put in upside down .Serious health hazard!

Rutting and pot holes for around 600 yards. Road crumbling at edges , drain widening carriageway becoming narrower due to contant flooding and reinstatement of road on west bound carriageway sinking. Impossible to avoid the damage without going onto the other side of the road

Major cracks and footpath crumbling over an area of over 50 yards, 4th August
This pavement was repaired last year after waiting almost 2 years. new surface has gone the same way. Pavement pulling away from the kirb side towards the sea.
