This is a no through road it does only serve four houses. The first hundred metres is breaking up. Along the following half a kilometre there are at least four significant pot holes. I'd appreciate comments from the council before we attempt our own repairs

More than a pothole - 20 foot of road subsidence, 16th February

Thu, 16 Feb 2023 13:00:39 +0000
51.869323 -2.840359

This road has 1/4 of the road subsiding. It has been like this for more than 7 years. Traffic lights have been in use all this time. What a waste! I have written to the council to no avail. Very few drivers take any notice of the lights.

Worn away road surface, 14th December

Tue, 14 Dec 2021 14:41:56 +0000
51.874074 -2.870813

This lane is now at an unacceptable standard to drive on. Numerous reports on the Monmouthshire app have reported problems and it’s ignored, ongoing since February 2020. The issues raised are just closed out with no action taken. Everyone who uses the lane cannot understand why the road is being allowed to become so bad. The photos taken are of the poorest part where the road has dropped more than 30cm in depth and there is no road surfacing left

Verge collapsed down bank after recent heavy rain, 11th December

Wed, 11 Dec 2019 18:28:23 +0000
51.874128 -2.862958

The verge has collapsed down the bank by the wellhouse opposite the village hall making it dangerous for vehicles and pedestrians. It is particularly tricky at school run times as this stretch of road is used by parents for overflow parking. It is difficult to see and I recently witnessed a car nearly get grounded.

Poor road surface, 30th December

Fri, 30 Dec 2011 15:19:03 +0000
51.864916796733 -2.873595256026

The road surface all along this road (from the Cross Ash end to the Ash Grove end)is very bad. It is filled with pot holes, and badly repaired patches of tarmac. Apart from being very uncomfortable to drive along,it is also dangerous, as many areas of terrible road surface are on blind corners - which greatly reduces the braking effectiveness of any vehicles that need to stop quickly.

Abandoned Roadworks, 3rd July

Fri, 03 Jul 2009 09:54:27 +0100
51.8767145647736 -2.87417751065809

Well over a decade ago the road at this location collapsed. Council attended realised that it was a badgers set that had undermined the road. Temporary bollards and cones were placed around an engineering plate until the badgers could be legally vacated from the set in the autumn. This was done. Nothing has been done since and the engineering plate is beginning to bend. The local council have been informed but they wont do anything until the badgers have been removed from the set!!! Check your records and repair the road. It must be the oldest recorded pothole in the country. Shame on you.
