Flytipping in layby of A449, 12th February
ALL the northbound lay-bys of the A449 from the Coldra have rubbish and fly tipping in them. This particular photo is of the layby going north about a mile before the Usk turnoff.

There are 15 pothole some are 10 inch deep and a meter wide.

The slow down signs have worn away, 19th September
The slow down signs have worn away and lots of vehicles approach the bridge at too high a speed. There have been several accidents on the bridge because motorists are now not warned to slow down. This has been reported by phone on several occasions over the last 2 years. The llanllowell bridge has also had frequent knocks which is costing money to repair.

Litter on motorway verges, 20th March
All the way from the Coldra roundabout to Monmouth and back there is unsightly litter on the verges in both directions. I would imagine that before the Ryder Cup in October some attention will be paid to this - shame to have to wait till then. When cleaning up, why not inform drivers that littering from cars causes congestion and uses tax payers money to clear up
