Blocked rain drains, 26th March

Most of the drains on the left hand side of whittingham road heading out of Glanton are totally blocked with mud, grass and debris, the drains are so blocked you would not even know the drains are there. This is leading to the rainfall we are having just running down the road like a river. This problem has been on going all winter. Are they due to be cleared ?

Blocked drains, 10th March

Sun, 10 Mar 2024 18:33:56 +0000

Glanton Bank. For the 3rd time in 6 months my husband has been clearing 16 drains from Glanton to Powburn. I have 33 pictures to highlight before & after. I have reported this issue before & yet again nothing has been done. If it's not cleared the water comes down the hill into Powburn & ends up at the end of our drive 5 Breamish Cottages NE66 4HN. The drains around our property are supposed to be priority drains but yet again my husband clears them as well. Why do we pay our council tax if nothing is being done. I would like to be contacted by highways reference this issue as it's not fair that my 60 year old husband is clearing drains that the Council should be doing

A kerb stone outside 8 Crawley Dene is very loose. The “kerb” is level with the road, I am concerned that this is a trip hazard, because if you stand on one end, it lifts up at the other end. Justs needs resetting.
