A Blocked - Flooding of Private Property problem has been found, 10th April
A Blocked - Flooding of Private Property problem has been found by Northumberland County Council Our garden has flooded twice within the past week. It previously flooded in December and was reported on fix my street. The problem appears to be occurring as there is no proper drainage gully in the road near our house where the road floods (opposite Fieldholme). The water drains into our neighbour’s garden (flooding it too) and then into ours. Drainage ditches have been created in the grass verges but these have not been maintained and are now overgrown.
We are aware that some work is going to be carried out on Station Road this year and would be grateful if a new gully could be considered. I attach photographs for information.
Kind regards Jane Dallas 9 Mandell Place photos to follow on e mail

Blocked drainage ditch leading to road / property flood, 10th April
09/04/24 This is the second time the drains and drainage ditch have not coped with the rain and run off from the fields resulting in 4/5 inches of standing water in the road . The water breaches the curb and has entered our property flooding the garage, most of the garden and is in danger of entering the house. The flood has also resulted in the loss of all heat as the boiler has been flooded as well. The standing water in the road is swept across the pavement and entrance to the property every time a car manages to get through the flooded street. We reported this to Fix my street yesterday. We need help with the situation please.

Speed warning indicator obscured by sign, 28th March
The yellow signpost on the lampost 83ee is in the way of oncoming cars to be able to see the new speed indicator sign. 2 options...put the speed indicator sign in front of the lampost so motorists can see if they are speeding or not. second option..remove the yellow signn attached to the lampost completely and throw it away as it is faded with no writing on which used to advertise persimmon homes. if no action is taken the speed indicator sign might as well be removed and another village have the benefit of it as it does not serve its purpose where it is now.
