Fly tipping/extensive littering, 22nd March
The fly tipping and littering along the full length of the B1340 is abominable. I have spent several hours picking litter from the roadside between Christon Bank and Rennington. However, the littering becomes far worse between Rennington and Denwick. It's been.like this for months and is only getting worse. Please do your job and clear the fly tipping and litter from the roadside verges and hedges.

Mud on road, 7th March
Very slippy road conditions as the mud left by wagons leaving the quarry created a mud slick across the road, causing cars to loose grip on the road surface as they go around the corner. Even when driving with caution..

Loose stones spilled from quarry lorry on curve in road, 2nd March
A lorry exiting the quarry has spilt some of its load of gravel into the road. The quarry owners need to take responsibility for cleaning the road on a regular basis but are not bothering to check. As the stones are on the bend a motorbike would likely not do well if it hit them

Blocked drains, 12th February
Previously reported and apparently resolved, though I hadn’t been able to verify this until Saturday, after prolonged rain. The square drain cover at the entrance to Harper Crescent is still leaking water during prolonged rain. If the rainfall becomes heavier, there is an obvious possibility of the drain covers becoming dislodged.

Ivy obscuring sign and restricting visibility, 6th February
The recent strong winds have blown a great deal of very thick Ivy shrubs over to one side. The ivy - there is a lot of it and it has been allowed to grow for quite some time - is now obscuring the view of a traffic sign and visibility in general (especially when exiting from the old Longhoughton station). It’s also now highly likely that any future strong winds will make the problem a lot worse.
