Partial repair to verge, 17th April
We are very grateful for you sending out a team today to respond so quickly to my most recent post. The two men were very helpful and this is the sort of service that Councils should be proud of. They did say however that they would arrange for a JCB to come to compact the loose soil/clumps; this will otherwise be a difficult job manually. We note that the report has been closed but sincerely hope that the additional compacting will still be carried out.

100cm x 50cm depth 15cm, 13th February
This pothole has been here for a while , but it is progressively getting deeper. I would class this as severe, potentially dangerous. If a vehicle hits this pothole, it will more than likely need repair to suspension, tyre, wheel etc. If a motorcyclist or Cyclist hits this, it could be considerably worse. What3words. A lot of potholes from the railway line down the road, 9th February
These have been reported previously, and someone did come out some six months back and sorted the 1/3 of the road from the top. I am now reporting the 2/3 of the road that was left untouched. It has damaged my car, destroyed my tires and now I travel with a compressor on the back seat. Please repair!

Right of way almost unusable, inadequate signage, 26th December
Today I walked along the right of way which extends from immediately to the West of Meldon Lane House to Low Angerton via Howlett Hall farm. I found no signage at either end of the route. Immediately to the North of Howlett Hall farm the right of way passes through a field in which there are 2 horses, fortunately not aggressive. The path itself is easy for a pedestrian to follow but there is no indication of the correct route at the North side of Howlett Hall farm.

Dangerous, muddy road conditions/large ruts immediately adjacent to carriageway, 19th November
This windy section of single-track road, popular with cyclists and serving local residents a school bus route, drops down across the Clay House Burn. There is limited visibility in both directions. Heavy vehicles have worn away the verges at the edges of the bends pulling mud onto the road surface and creating significant skid hazards as surrounding trees prevent the surface from drying. This route is not gritted regularly in winter despite numerous requests by residents. In particular there is a deep rut next to the hard surface on the western bank of the Burn - more than one vehicle has got stuck when moving to the side to allow others to pass. If a cyclist puts a wheel off they will tumble 10ft into the Burn - there is no barrier. The muddy surface is a particular hazard when vehicles are have to brake when descending down towards the burn in both directions along the lane. There are numerous other similar problems and potholes between this point and West Molesden Wood in particular.
