Sharp exposed concrete leading edge from drain surround, 14th April
The concrete edging to this drain has a large sharp exposed edge perpendicular to traffic. It has not been sloped down to the road surface like others in the area.
The sharp edge and corner are touching the road surface.
I caught this edge in my car which caused an immediate cut to the tyre and a puncture.
If a motorcyclist or cyclist were to hit this it could cause severe injury.
I'm not sure why the edging is required at all, many drains in the area are simply level with the tarmac with no edging, or have a simple sloped curb parallel to the road which poses far less risk to the direction of travel.

Road flooding again, 26th January
Please stop closing this report as fixed . It is not! The photographs show the flood on Wednesday 23rd of January which happened after the repair carried out on the 9th of January after previous floods in December and January. Digging out the silt is not good enough as it still floods after this is done. This is a fast road and the flood is on a blind bend.

Road floods every time it rains, 24th January
This is the second report at this site in a month. The culvert is not able to deal with even light rain. Road completely block across both sides on blind bend. Previous “repair” involved digging accumulated silt from grid above culvert. This is not the cause but is a symptom of the drain not being able to cope with excess water and the fix needs more fundamental work to fix before a serious accident occurs.

The problem of Charlton flooding on road., 8th January
A permanent solution is required the road floods everytime there is heavy rainfall and simply cleaning it out is not working.
I would suggest with climate change NCC install a larger drainage system at this location before there is a serious road incident.

Lots of potholes along all this road from main road to end of maintained road, 8th January
Many caused or deepened by large vehicles involved in building the new house at Park Lodge. The verges are dangerously worn away and the road very muddy. This is a single track road and even smaller delivery vans find it challenging to negotiate through the mess. The builders have not been considerate to the local residents and regular hospital transport service.
