Bent metallic sign at head height very dangerous for pedestrians, 29th July
One of the signs (the one pointing to the YHA hostel if memory serves) is bent due to previous damage , resulting of a sharp metallic object at man-height obstructing the already narrow footpath along the road. I almost got hit in the face this morning, preoccupied by the traffic at this junction and the narrow path for pedestrians, not expecting such a danger a head-height. This is an accident waiting to happen, esp. thinking of people coming back from the nearby pub to the Sill hostel in the evening. I could have hurt my face severely or hurt an eye.

The road sign on the main road is pointing the wrong way, 5th June
We were up walking Hadrian's wall last week and noticed that the road sign to Vindolanda and the Sill on the main road has been put up backwards so that it is pointing in the opposite direction from where it should be pointing. It didn't matter to us as we were walking and had a good map, but it will definitely confuse visitors who haven't. It only needs flipping around, as it has just been put up the wrong way.
