Potholes and damaged road surface, 10th April
You have repeatedly responded to fix these potholes, the repairs in my view have only been to a temporary standard . The condition of this area and others to the west of Halton Shields are now making driving along the road extremely dangerous and hazardous. Soon we will be in to the peak months for Roman wall walkers who walk immediately adjacent to the highway and cross it at a number of points. Road users passing through the area have the choice to travel alternative routes but local residents in Halton Shields rely on this road for access. Please give this your earliest attention before we have a serious accident caused by swerving traffic or more reports of damage to vehicles.

A pothole which is over a foot wide and nearly 3 inches deep has potential to cause serious damage to vehicles and is causing people to drive on the verge to avoid it. It has been there for at least 3 weeks in its current size

Continuous mud on raod, 15th March
Long stretches of this road are regularly covered in mud from Aydon to Shildon. The surrounding farm regularly uses the road as a farm track, and never clears the resultant mud. This is not necessary as farm vehicles could be moved via the fields. Could you have a word with the farm to point out the issues they are causing. Thx.

Road markings worn and traffic speeding through Halton Shields, 12th March
Hi, as reported by other users the three slow road markings are worn away through Halton Shields. This is making this section of carriageway dangerous to the residence that live nearby. The traffic speed through this area and have witnessed many an overtake on the bend leading into the area. This section of road needs a reduced speed limit to make it safe for everyone. Other areas of this road where residents live the speed limit has need reduced.
