Temporary road signs left by roadworks which took place over a month ago. 1) One diversion sign on Batt House Rd near junction of New Ridley Road 2) another diversion sign on New Ridley Road just after you turn from Batt House Road onto New Ridley Road 3) Manual Stop & Go signs on poles on left hand side of New Ridley Road just as you approach the white sign for New Ridley. They were in the bushes & I dragged them out & placed where they are visible on grass verge. I’ve tried calling the number on the back of diversion sign to report but no reply 0191 3840146.

Road drain requires suction cleaning to unblock, 9th April
The drain entrance at this location appears blocked with loose gravel. Water runs along the road and instead of flowing into the drain it is going straight over it and so continues then to flow down Bowlers Hill, creating excessive volume and in heavy rain a torrent which is eroding the road edge and overflows shallow kerb heights and threatens residences further down. A job for the suction wagon. Please give the drain entrance a good clean out. Thank you.

Over 1 week Abandoned Car, 20th March
This car has been here for over a week, it’s been in the same place all week. Due to it being left in such a remote area and in bad condition I suspect it’s been used for poaching and dumped. Its dirty and unlooked after. After researching on the gov website using its number plate the car has not been Taxed or Mot’d since January 2023. However it changed log book ownership in October 2023. It’s clearly being used for illegal reasons and it’s now abandoned. I live in Hedley and drive past it morning and evening.

Deep gullies on east side of road, 4th March
Deep gullies on east side of road are bad and getting worse, after a particularly wet winter, making it difficult for vehicles to pass each other safely. The road is already narrow with a marked increase in all types of vehicles over recent years. The gullies are deep, unprotected and risk causing irreparable damage to vehicles, especially if drivers are unfamiliar with this rural road.
