Since Tuesday the 3 different sets of traffic lights on the roundabout above the A1 are out of sync, when the 1st set turns green the next 2 follow suit allowing rush hour traffic to get out of the city and onto the A1, this week when the 1st set turn green the next set turn red and when the 2nd set turn green the 3rd set turn red, this has caused 30 minute tailbacks up Ponteland Road plus traffic jams on kenton Road and Etal Lane during rush hour. When the 1st set turn green only a few cars can get out due to the 2nd set switching to red.

2 cones and a metal sign (which has fallen down) with sandbags etc, have been left on the side verge of east traffic direction of the A1. Present for several weeks. The items are approximately 50 metres apart from each other on the same side.

Faint / missing road markings, 2nd January
Near miss crash today, due to someone being in the left hand lane, which is turning left only and the car drove straight on towards Tesco, as I was. Have seen them do this multiple times. They don’t own a blue badge they shouldn’t be here they should park in the rugby club like they are supposed too while doing the school run !

This part of the A1 has been completed but contractors have left multiple signs, metal framework, sandbags and cones on the side of the road causing an eyesore but also potentially dangerous. They have been present for months and signage is out of date from August 2023.
