Large deep potholes Wansbeck Street back lane, 28th April
These potholes were mended a couple of months ago but have opened up again already. Perhaps a full section could be cut out and repaired fully, rather than bits being hastily topped up, for a longer term solution. As this is the only route in and out of our street so is heavily used. The back lane between Wansbeck Street and Sea View, the far end towards the trees. The side where cars are not parked. Thank you.

Path needs resurfaced., 17th April
I would like to bring to your attention the degraded state of the public footpath and roadside gutter adjacent to the side of my premises. The Northumberland County Council Website states, "We regularly inspect pavements and carry out reactive and planned repairs. We also respond to reports from the public and repair this damage as quickly as possible." In regards to the above I'm assuming the pavement in question must have unfortunately been overlooked for decades because it's in a shocking state, it has had none or very little repair since the late nineteen seventies or early eighties. There are extensive amounts of grass and weeds growing through the tarmac which has effectively destroyed the pavement surface, and there are also other areas where surface erosion is fairly well advanced. Through a lack of planned maintenance, grass and weeds have been allowed to grow well over the concrete border which separates the grass verge from the path, probably resulting in damage to the tarmac. The roadside gutter is full of debris (mainly caused by a company called Mr. Dig who carried out excavations on behalf of Virgin Media). Twigs and weeds also litter the gutter, which also needs rectifying. In my opinion and as a Council Tax payer, I would expect to at least be able to walk on pavements surrounding my home that are maintained to a reasonable standard. Thank you.
