West side verge, Thorncote Road, Hatch, approximately 100m south of junction with A603 Bedford Road, 27th February
The edge of the carriageway has broken up and a long pothole has been created. The wearing course is missing, resulting in a hole approximately 8-10cm deep. The main issue and risk for causing damage (as it did to my vehicle) is that the northern edge of the pot hole made of sharp tarmac, presenting a vertical edge. The carriageway is narrow here and if there is another oncoming vehicle (as there was at the time) there is no room to avoid any danger/damaged road surface. The damage to my vehicle was caused on Saturday 25th at around 3pm. I have no idea how long the hole has been there, as it is not a route I regularly take, but judging by the shape and type of damage it has not appeared overnight. I will be making a claim for the split tyre which resulted from hitting this pot hole..

On path opposite Moggerhanger School, 22nd January
New work, possibly by Anglian Water, has created a trip hazard outside the school. There are various points where the (sunken) new tarmac is lower than the surrounding hard surfaces. So multiple trip points for children and adults.

Culvert alongside of A603 just passed Park Road, 17th January
Culvert blocked and when we get heavy rain it overflows onto the A603 which then freezes and causes cars to skid and end up in the ditches. Getting deep now and would hate to think what might happen in a car went in head first

Stretch of road heading West from the jct. of Park Road, Moggerhanger, 12th January
The stretch of road (A603) between Moggerhanger and WIllington has a number of dangers present in the form of remnants of vehicles and police tape left behind after five vehicles have come off the road and ended up in the ditches over the past 2-3 weeks. Just the other day, a large van veered over the central line and nearly went head-on into our vehicle, as the driver was 'rubber-necking' a car which had been left upside down in the ditch for around 2 weeks (I could see that he was looking at the vehicle and not where he was driving). This vehicle was recently removed but on Tuesday morning, another four vehicles crashed into the ditches along this stretch of road (some in CBC, some in Bedford Borough). I suspect these crashes may have happened due to the icy roads, however, this does beg the question as to why this particular stretch of road was so badly affected? Was is not gritted properly? Even though all of these vehicles were removed in a timely manner, there are various panels from the vehicles left on the roadside/ditches and police tape is still blowing around in the wind. This all needs to be cleared up, not only for environmental reasons, but also because it causes a distraction for drivers on an already dangerous stretch of road.

On the way into Moggerhanger before the 30mph sign, 5th January
The pothole has got bigger and bigger with the rain. I have hit it this morning and think I might have done serious damage to my tyre. I will submit a claim if I have. The issue has previously been flagged and marked as closed but it has opened up again and is really deep.
