Behind 50 and 52 Conway Drive, 7th April
4 trees planted as part of the Jubilee celebration. I reported these trees 2 years ago but they have still not been pruned. If they are to become trees suitable for their location they need to be pruned now or they will become a nuisance, like the other trees that are planted too close to the properties. The trees that have been let go then cut back look very ugly. In France, trees alongside town roads are pollarded every year and are never allowed to get more than 3 metres high.

Eversholt road, leaving Stepingley after the Slippery Road sign, 6th April
The edge of the road has collapsed leaving huge potholes which are unavoidable if an oncoming vehicle is approaching on their side of the carriageway. This pothole has damaged both nearside wheels on my car, one of which is un-repairable. There are two deep potholes on this stretch, the largest of which is 12cm deep, 40cm out into the road from where the edge of the carriageway should be and around 140cm long.

Because of the failure to maintain the hedges making this road narrower the tarmac edge of the road is breaking away. This is also causing potholes, very big ones. 3 potholes in a row, Co-Ordinates 51°58'51.0"N 0°31'36.0"W M1 Southbound between J13 and J12 lane 1 (hard holder). These potholes made my car violently shudder and could cause serious damage to vehicles, especially to tyres and alloy wheels. Also strong vibrations have been known to blow incandescent bulbs in headlights. This has been present since the roadworks has started and this lane is opened. The "hard shoulder lane should been fully inspected before opening to ease congestion during the barrier upgrades.
